Join Chef Vince Perovic for a hands-on journey into fermentation, flavor, and food culture.
Hosted in collaboration with Farm Studio Sonoma, this six-week, in-person series invites you into the world of living foods—from koji and miso to pickles, kimchi, vinegar, kombucha, and naturally fermented sodas. Set in the heart of Sonoma County at the Geyserville Gun Club, each class explores fermentation not only as a culinary technique, but as a way to connect with tradition, the land, and each other.
Guided by the mission of Thirteenth Sun Kitchen—to teach fermentation as a tool for transformation, prevent food waste through creative reuse, and build community through shared learning—these sessions go beyond recipes. You'll tap into ancient wisdom, modern technique, and use of seasonal abundance, leaving each class with new skills, inspiration, and a deeper appreciation for the microbial magic that surrounds us.
